Thoughts About Travel and Family

Well, I’ve been in Mexico since Monday and we have definitely had a wonderful time. It has been absolutely incredible, but I am ready to see my family! I miss my wife and kids big time! I don’t travel a lot because I don’t like to be away from home very much.

For one reason, I really feel like I need to put a stake down in Millington and let everyone know that’s where I am and that’s where I want to be. But also, I need to avoid the temptation to go here, there and everywhere while my family stays home. I’m trying to be more strategic about my travel and I’m learning you just can’t do everything; even everything you WANT to do!!!

This is definitely a trip I want to do and will continue to do. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to bring Stephanie with me. This will be on my strategic list of destinations and mission trips. It’s been an amazing trip and I believe very fruitful for the Kingdom of God.

So, I’m ready to see my family. I miss them a ton right now and can’t wait to spend time with them. See you soon!!!

  1. Jim – it is great to hear you so excited about your ministry in Millington! I enjoy listening to your sermons via the church’s website. You can sense the excitement of what is going on there even through the webcasts. God bless you, brother.Michael Stovall
