After an extended holiday hiatus, let’s see if I can’t get back into the swing of things in the blogosphere. It’s been a busy time for sure, but I’ll try to make up for it in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Happy Easter
I LOVE Easter. It’s right up there with my favorite holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. The only reason Thanksgiving is at the top of the list is because there’s lots of good food and I get to see my family. Easter is a very close second!
Easter is incredible. Of course, I love Easter for what it means; Christ is risen from the dead! But I also love Easter for many other reasons. Just this week the weather became a bit more pleasant. It was almost like our neighborhood came alive with the better weather; kids playing, dogs barking, basketball in the cove… And yes, as a pastor, you have to love Easter. I have a wonderful opportunity to preach to many people who need to know Christ on Easter Sunday.
I guess Easter reminds me that I have so many things in my life to be thankful for; my faith, my family, my church, my friends and my life! I hope you have a great Easter!
It’s a BOY!
Shutting Down for a While
Yes, it’s true…I can sense the pained expressions on your faces as you read the title above. It is time to shut down for a while. There are multiple reasons:
1. It’s not like I’m a prolific blogger anyway! One post a month can hardly be considered a blog.
2. Not that I spend any significant amount of time blogging, but I’ve been challenged lately to begin a prayer journal. I want to focus my expressive writing energies (if I have any at all) in that direction.
3. I’m too depressed to blog…the Georgia Bulldogs are having a tough season!
4. You know I’m doing the blogosphere a favor by closing shop for a while. No…I don’t know how long…it could be for a year or it could be forever. We’ll see as time goes on.
One final thought: “your security as a leader in God’s church is in direct proportion to the level of discipleship in your personal life.”
The Election is Over!
Well, it came and it went: Election Day 2006. I must admit, I’m glad it’s over. Yes, I’m definitely pleased with the results (at least most of the statewide results) and am looking forward to another 4 years of dad in office. God is good.
So, now that the election is over, the next big milestone is my brother’s wedding on December 2. After that, the next HUGE milestone is baby #2. No, we still don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl and we’ll find out the day of deliver…which I predict will be between December 6-13. Stephanie is due on the 21st of December.
Life is SO BUSY between now and the due date. It’s funny to think, but I’ll be glad when the new little one comes because maybe life will slow down a little bit. And I’ll just keep kidding myself.
